Hit-And-Run On 167: Police Release Suspect Car Description​

The hit-and-run killing occurred early Sunday along a ramp connecting SR 167 to SR 18 in Auburn.

AUBURN, WA - Police have released new details about the vehicle that hit and killed a man walking along a ramp near the SR 167 and SR 18 interchange in Auburn early Sunday. The victim was identified on Monday as Christopher W. Stanley, 39, of Tacoma. Police believe the person responsible was driving a 2006 model year white Ford Crown Victoria.

The accident happened at around 4 a.m. on Sunday when Stanley and a friend were walking along the shoulder to get gas. The vehicle they were riding in was disabled nearby. Police believe that the Crown Victoria drove onto the shoulder and hit Stanley. He died at the scene.

At the scene, investigators found a front bumper and the driver's side mirror. The car may also have a broken windshield, police say.
