Police ID Motorcyclist Killed Along SR 18 Sunday
More details about what happened before the crash have been released by Washington State Patrol.

AUBURN, WA - State police have identified the motorcyclist who died in a high-speed crash along SR 18 on Sunday morning. The crash happened just before 10 a.m. Sunday where SR 18 crosses the Green River. The motorcyclist was the only vehicle involved in the accident.
Washington State Patrol identified the motorcyclist as Jacob A. Rinz, 22, of Covington. Rinz was driving a Kawasaki ZX636 motorcycle.
According to Washington State Patrol, Rinz was approaching the Green River bridge in the westbound lanes when he lost control of the bike and hit the guardrail along the left shoulder of the highway. Rinz was ejected from the bike and thrown into the median that divides SR 18.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, although police say speed and distraction may have been factors. SR 18 was closed for close to three hours Sunday morning due to the investigation.
