Poll: Puget Sound Residents Split Over Wanting It To Rain

An informal Patch poll shows about an even split between Puget Sound residents who want it to rain and those who don't.

BONNEY LAKE, WA - It's been exactly 38 days since most* cities around Puget Sound have seen measurable rain. In fact, we're 13 days away from breaking the all-time record for days without rain. So, we here at Patch.com just assumed everyone would be up for a little rain - not the monsoon conditions of last winter, just enough to refresh our lawns, forests, and vegetable gardens.

We all know what happens when you assume something.

On Monday, we asked you to vote on the rain issue: pro or con. Do you want it to rain or do you like the dry streak?

The results were pretty evenly split. A lot of people want a little rain, citing high water bills and, in one case, pregnancy. But, likely haunted by memories of the wet winter, many people want it to stay dry as long as possible.
