Realtor Finds Forever Home at Tehaleh

The outdoor feel, sense of privacy and close proximity to nature are what drew the Hedricks to Tehaleh.

With attractive amenities that are making Tehaleh the Puget Sound’s top-selling new-home community, real estate agents are finding their forever home at Tehaleh. Spectacular views of Moun Rainier, miles of trails and a welcoming community are just part of the charm contributing to the success.

β€œAs a realtor, I always preach that if you don’t love your home, it’s time to move,” said Tiffany Hedrick. β€œAfter selling a Tehaleh home to my best friend, I couldn’t get the communityβ€˜s gorgeous outdoor amenities out of my mind. So I decided to take my own advice and move into our dream home, a Richmond American Home at Tehaleh.”

Tours are available this weekend a Tehaleh, with 11 move-in ready homes and 13 model homes including Richmond American’s brand new Hemingway model. Richmond American Homes also recently debuted four new floor plans, including the Ivy plan from the β€œModern Living”  collection, featuring dual living spaces for multi-generational families. Richmond American Homes is in good company at Tehaleh, with a mix of national and local builders.

After touring the models, visitors can stop by The Post, Tehaleh’s community gathering and information center, to enjoy a cup of handcrafted Italian coffee from CaffΓ© D’arte or fresh sandwiches and salads from CJ’s Deli. Visitors can get a feel for the Tehaleh lifestyle by taking time to explore the seven parks, 7.5 miles of trails and stunning mountain views.

The outdoor feel, sense of privacy and close proximity to nature are what drew Hedrick and her husband, Jeremy, to Tehaleh. The Hedricks purchased a home that backs up to a greenbelt and they relish the sights, sounds and smells of their natural surroundings.

β€œJeremy loves to run the trails and take the dog for a walk,” Hedrick said, β€œIt’s a very friendly neighborhood; we love that people have moved here to build their families and to be part of a community. There are so many families in our neighborhood with children!” This is especially good news for the Hedricks, since they are expecting their first child this month.

With her best friend just down the street, a niece already attending Donald Eismann Elementary School in the heart of the community and a baby on the way, it seems that the Hedricks are establishing deep roots at Tehaleh.

β€œI love the layout of my Richmond American home at Tehaleh,” Hedrick said. β€œOur new home is only 300 square feet larger than our old one, but the openness of the this floor plan makes it feel about 1,000 square feet bigger.β€œ

The couple was able to build and customize their home to their personal preferences. This included a three-car garage where they are able to use space as a personal gym, a bonus room they transformed into a β€œman den” for Jeremy and special outlets installed for a whole house air conditioner and future hot tub addition.

β€œDesigners and architects from Richmond American Homes work hand-in-hand to create inspired floor plans that match the homeowner’s lifestyle,” said Michael DelCastillo, Division President, β€œThey consider the placement of electrical outlets, plumbing fixtures, windows and evenΒ  your furniture when creating new floor plans.”

Richmond American Homes has been building new homes in the Seattle area for three years, after nearly four decades of high-quality craftsmanship across the United States.

β€œWe strive to optimize plans to maximize livable space. The new floor plans offer expansive bedrooms, family rooms, great rooms, kitchens and closets,” said DelCastillo.

Tehaleh is owned in a joint venture between two strong companies; North America Sekisui House, LLC (NASH). the U.S. business unit and full subsidiary of Sekisui House Ltd., Japan’s largest homebuilder and leading diversified developer, and American Newland Communities, LLC, whose development business, Newland Communities, is the master developer of Tehaleh. Collectively, the NASH-Newland partnership owns or manages more than 30 communities across the country.

β€œIt makes you feel like you’re part of a community,” Hedrick said, β€œTehaleh is so thoughtfully planned. Amenities are strategically placed offering you the ability to know your neighbors, mingle with other people and engage in the community all while soaking up the beauty of the Northwest. Thereβ€˜s nothing that exists in the market quite like Tehaleh.β€œ
