Several Bonney Lake Streets to be Chip Sealed in August

Residents are advised that depending on weather conditions, roads will be reopened as soon as possible, usually no more than 30 minutes after the work began.

This the season for road work and maintenance.

The city of Bonney Lake advised this week that several street sections in the city are up for chip sealing next month. They are:

  • North and South Island Dr E,
  • Portions of 183rd and 185th just South of Lake Bonney,
  • 94th St between 194th and 198th,
  • 192nd Ave from So City limits to 107th,
  • 209th Ave from 95th to 97th,
  • 204th Ave from 93rd to 96th St.
According to the city blog

Depending on the wetness and coolness of the weather, roads are reopened as quickly as possible, usually no more than 30 minutes after the work started. Within 24 hours, the contractor will lightly sweep up loose rock chips. Then the City street sweeper will further sweep loose chips off the roads.
