Shots Fired At Pierce County Sheriff's Office In Bonney Lake: UPDATE
The incident happened Saturday night and two deputies were inside the building.

BONNEY LAKE, WA - Pierce County Sheriff's detectives are trying to track down the person who fired a gun at a sheriff's substation here on Saturday night.
The sheriff's office says that someone fired five shots at the building, which was occupied at the time. The substation is located at 11107 214th Ave. E in Bonney Lake, just south of Highway 410.
The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. Detectives believe that the shooter parked their vehicle and walked into the parking lot within 100 feet of the office. The five shots entered a window at the front of the building. There were sheriff's office cars parked in front of the building at the time.

Detectives believe that the shooter was well aware that there were deputies in the building. There is a $1,000 reward leading to information about the suspect.
The office is home to the Pierce County Sheriff's Foothills Detachment. The incident happened just four days after Tacoma Police Officer Reginald "Jake" Gutierrez was shot to death in the line of duty. Last week was also the 7th anniversary of the ambush shooting of four Lakewood officers.
