SUMNER, WA - An overnight snowstorm dropped enough snow across Puget Sound to cause delays, closures, and cancellations at local schools and universities. The forecast calls for freezing temperatures on Thursday, which might make travel difficult along local roads.
Here are the latest from local schools:
- Clover Park: 2 hour delay, no preschool, no out-of-district transportation, no Half day programs.
- Edmonds: 2 hour delay, no morning preschool, no out-of-district transportation
- Everett Schools: 2 hour delay, no out-of-district transportation
- Highline Schools: 2 hour delay, no preschool, morning buses on snow routes
- Kent: No out-of-district transportation, admin building opens 2 hours late
- Lakewood SD: 2 hour delay, morning/afternoon buses on snow routes, no preschool or ECEAP, no out district transportation
- Northwest Christian School (Puyallup): 2 hour delay, no before school care
- Orting: 2 hour delay, no morning preschool, no out-of-district transportation, no morning breakfast, buses on snow routes
- Pacific Lutheran: offices open at 9:30 a.m., classes began at 9:55 a.m.
- Pioneer: 2 hour delay, no morning preschool
- Puyallup: 2 hour delay, no morning preschool, no out-of-district transportation, no elementary band and orchestra
- Renton Christian School: 2 hour delay
- Renton: out-of-district transportation cancelled
- Seattle Christian School: 2 hour delay, no before school activities
- Shoreline Community College: Campus opens at 10 a.m., classes before that cancelled
- Shoreline Schools: Closed
- Shoreline Children's Center: closed, no out-of-district transportation.
- Steilacoom: 2 hour delay, no morning preschool, no out-of-district transportation, activities before school cancelled
- Sumner: Closed
- UW Bothell: Classes begin 11 a.m, campus opens at 10:30 a.m.
