Sumner Selling Parking Spots Near Sounder Station

Reserve a choice spot near the Sounder station. But hurry, there are only 75 spaces available.

SUMNER, WA - The city of Sumner will soon start leasing parking spaces at the former Red Apple site, giving commuters an opportunity to get prime parking near the Sumner Sounder station. There are 75 spaces available and you can start parking there beginning in April. The spaces cost $225 for three months.

Here's more information from the city:

You will receive a parking permit to hang on your rear-view mirror or display visibly on your dash. This gives you access to park in any space within the City’s Red Apple Lot at any time. The spaces will be reserved only for permit holders during the day, Monday through Friday. On evenings and weekends, you may continue to park in the lot, and other cars (non-permit holders) may also park in open spaces within the lot to dine downtown or attend special events.

You do not have to register a specific car, but the car must have the proper permit displayed at all times or will be ticketed. The permit is fully transferable but there are no refunds, replacement passes or pro-rated options.

Space in this lot will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. This lot is in the process of being cleaned up for future redevelopment and is estimated to be available for parking for approximately three years. We will not sell into a quarter which will not have parking available for you, but we want our customers to know that this will not be a permanent parking lot.
