'Vapor Leak' Closes Sumner Road Briefly
A Sumner road was closed briefly Wednesday morning after a vapor leak was spotted.

SUMNER, WA - A "vapor leak" closed a stretch of East Valley Highway in Sumner for a brief time on Wednesday morning, according to the fire department.
East Pierce Fire and Rescue reported that the vapor leak was normal natural gas venting. As of 11:30 a.m., East Valley Highway was reopened to traffic.
The vapor leak was reported along the 2300 block of East Valley Highway, which is between Lake Tapps and SR 167 near the intersection of 24th Avenue East.
