Hi, my name is Bernadette and I am a breast cancer survivor. My journey began February 28th of 2012. I went through surgery, weeks of chemo, then radiation. During my fight I went to a Relay for Life event and it inspired me to join the team and work towards making a difference in the lives of everyone who draws the "short straw" we call cancer. I was always one of those people that said, " It will not happen to me", but I was wrong and I too drew the "short straw". So now I have followed the same path as my survivors. I am passionate to find a cure for our future generations. I have joined this team in order to bring hope to people struggling with cancer and to let them know that they are not alone. All of our proceeds go towards cancer research in hope that one day nobody will have to suffer from this unpredictable menace we call cancer. Thank you for your support, Bernadette
