Woman, Horse Rescued After Falling 20 Feet Off Cliff Near Lake Tapps: Video

Video shows personnel hoisting the horse after it and a woman fell down a steep embankment east of Lake Tapps.

AUBURN, WA - A woman and her horse were rescued after a fall off a 20-foot cliff east of Lake Tapps Monday night. The horse was hoisted out of the gully during the rescue and walked away under its own strength, but the rider was taken to Harborview in Seattle with critical injuries.

The accident happened along the 16600 block of Southeast 376th Street, just north of the Muckleshoot Reservation. Rescue personnel told KOMO News that the horse might've been spooked and accidentally stepped backward off the cliff.
