World Citizen Wednesday – Favorite Summertime Treats

Back home, the summer months equate to slower days filled with barbeques and loved ones. When passing the long days there are classic American ways to cool down and refresh. While our friends are enjoying their summer on Lake Tapps or in the California sun they are typically taking in staples like melons, corn on the cob, iced tea, and lemonade. Oh how I’m homesick for this these moments with my friends.

Instead we’re 8,000 miles (12,875 km) away from home this summer. We’re located in a region just north of the equator so temperature are consistent throughout the year. Holding steady in the 82-95F (28-35C) range, locals and tourists are always looking for ways to cool down.
