WSP Searches For SUV After School Bus Hit Near Bonney Lake
Troopers said the driver left the scene after hitting a bus full of kids Friday morning.
BONNEY LAKE, WA — Washington State Patrol is searching for the driver of an SUV after a school bus was hit near Bonney Lake Friday morning. The crash happened just before 7 a.m. on eastbound State Route 410 at Elhi Hill Road. Troopers said the bus was full of elementary school students when it was rear-ended by a black SUV, which then fled the scene. Investigators said no one on the bus was injured.
Troopers believe the SUV is a black Chevy Trailblazer with right, front-end damage. Investigators are working to get surveillance video from nearby businesses. Anyone with information is asked to contact WSP at 253-538-3240.
