1 Dead In Crash Near Mount Pilchuck

The crash happened early Sunday morning, and Snohomish County detectives are still investigating the cause.

GRANITE FALLS, WA - A 22-year-old man died in a car crash early Sunday morning along Mountain Loop Highway, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

According to the sheriff's office, the 22-year-old driver crashed along the 33000 block of Mountain Loop Highway, which is between the Robe and Verlot areas near Mount Pilchuck. The crash happened around 1:15 a.m.

The 22-year-old was dead at the scene, but his male passenger was not injured, the sheriff's office reported. The deceased is believed to be from Lake Stevens.
