Dance and drum ceremonies will be held each day.

Edmonds Community College’s Native American Student Association hosts a powwow, “Echoes of Our Ancestors,” on May 4-6.
The powwow brings together students, families and communities to celebrate American Indian singing, drumming, dancing and arts and crafts in EDCC's Seaview Gym, 20000 68th Ave. W., Lynnwood.
Dance and drum ceremonies start at 7 p.m. on May 4, 1 and 7 p.m. on May 5 and 1 p.m. on May 6. During intermission from 5-7 p.m. May 5, you can enjoy native storytelling.
The event is free and open to the public.
Powwows are social gatherings, open to all people, celebrating American Indian tribes’ traditions, style of dance, song, families and friendships. Dancers and drummers come to the college’s powwow from tribes throughout the United States and Northwest. Locally, they include the Muckleshoot, Lummi and Tulalip tribes.
This year, musician and educator Arlie Neskahi, of the Dine' (Navajo) Nation of New Mexico, is the master of ceremonies. He is well-known for his performance, composition and knowledge of traditional music. The arena director is Frank Goes Behind.
