The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said that it's legal for semitrailers to park along Alderwood Mall Parkway, but the semi involved in the Wednesday crash was parked in the wrong direction. That's a civil infraction.

The Everett School District provided grief counselors at Jackson High School on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sole survivor of the crash is in satisfactory condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
