A Night of Edmonds Style

Grab a few girlfriends and head down to the Edmonds Conference Center tonight for the 3^rd annual Everything Edmonds Fashion Show. Aside from a fashion show featuring clothing and shoes from local boutiques, there will be live jazz music, champagne and wine, a silent auction, and a sit-down dinner.

“This year we are trying to showcase as much of Edmonds as we can, not just the fashion,” explained Susan Wilson, the event’s coordinator and owner of the Mu Shoe boutique in downtown Edmonds. “It started out with just fashion, and then I thought, ‘why can’t we expand this event to other businesses besides retail?’”

The five-course dinner is a tour of Edmonds food, with one course each from FIVE, , , Demetris and Il Buffone. Wine will be provided and served by Girardi’s Osteria. As guests enter the venue they will be served champagne and hors d'oeuvres, the latter from . Live jazz music from Steve Trembley will get guests into a festive mood, and throughout the night themed baskets from local merchants will be up for bid at the silent auction. At the end of the evening, each table will receive a dessert from a local baker.

According to Stacey Masterson, owner of , a boutique that will be participating in the fashion show, the evening will be a great ladies night out, as mostly women are expected to attend. As to what she will be sending down the runway, Masterson says the core of her business is all about jeans, but floral dresses are great for warmer weather (if we ever get it), and hats and bold accessories are big this year.

“It’s going to be a really fun night,” said Wilson. “We’ve moved it to a Thursday night. It used to be a brunch on Sunday, but Thursday is a good night to go out, and I thought I would kick things up a notch to see if it works. It looks like it will sell out for sure.” 

The Everything Edmonds Fashion Show is a fundraiser for the Downtown Edmonds Merchants Association. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased here.
