Officials are now weighing options like modestly later starts or a three-tier system, factoring in transportation costs, childcare, equity and extracurriculars, and will seek more community feedback this fall.
• Edmonds College welcomes new Board of Trustees members, Maria Montalvo and Blessing Jere (lynnwoodtimes.com) — New leadership is coming to Edmonds College's Board of Trustees, with Governor-appointed trustee Maria Montalvo and student trustee Blessing Jere helping guide the college that serves many Edmonds-area residents. • A New Era Arrives: Airo Trains Make Their Amtrak Cascades Debut (amtrak.com) — Edmonds residents can now board Amtrak Cascades' new Airo trains right at their local station, enjoying more seats, modern amenities, and improved reliability on trips around the Pacific Northwest. Federal infrastructure funding helped bring these U.S.-built trains into service, aiming to better connect communities from Bellingham to Eugene while supporting American manufacturing and regional travel options.
