ANACORTES, WA - The fire department here has released a powerful video from the scene of a fatal fire that occurred early on Christmas morning. In the video, Fire Chief Richard Curtis walks through the scene of the fire at the Sunrise Inn Villas and Suites talking about common mistakes that can become deadly during a fire.
The fire department responded to the Anacortes motel around 3 a.m. Sunday and found a woman unresponsive in a bedroom. Fire officials believe the fire started because a pillow placed too close to a natural gas fireplace caught on fire.
