"From the Ashes" - Mask show by Emi Matsumoto at Zinc

Seattle-based graphic designer and artist, Emi Matsumoto, brings a new show of masks in papier-mâché, sumi ink, and cut paper titled “From the Ashes” to Zinc Art + Interiors from October 15-November 17. Each piece explores the interdependence between life and death and flora and fauna. Emi asks the viewer to question where our knowledge of plants and animals will come from in an uncertain future that our planet faces environmentally and technologically.
