Bear Loose In Lynnwood Escapes From Police [UPDATE]
The bear was loose along 204th Street Southwest west of Poplar Way.

UPDATE: Police later reported that it was a mother bear and her cub. The pair reportedly escaped police and wildlife officials.
LYNNWOOD, WA - Police and state wildlife officials were busy Tuesday afternoon trying to wrangle a loose bear in Lynnwood. The bear was wandering around a residential neighborhood near the intersection of 204th Street Southwest west of Poplar Way. The bear problem was slowing traffic in the area, so expect slowdowns if you're headed through Lynnwood.
At around 2 p.m., state wildlife officials were preparing to release a specially trained dog - of the karelian beard dog breed - to corner the bear up a tree.
