With voting ending May 10th, Martha Lake Elementary School has once again pulled into fifth place in the KABOOM! Let’s Play video contest.
As , Martha Lake Elementary School is in the running for $15,000 in playground improvements. Only the top five vote getters receive prizes and for the past several days Martha Lake has been flip-flopping with other contestants for the coveted fifth spot. Friday's change in standing probably comes thanks to a final email blitz by supporter Anna Walter-Bell who urged people to “get friends, coworkers, email lists and families to get on line and vote every day.” The email concluded by assuring readers that “when this is over I will return to being that quiet, unassuming gal again!”
At the time of her email, Martha Lake was in sixth with 14.3% of the vote, .2% behind fifth place. Martha Lake is now up to 14.8% of the vote - tied for fourth place and .4% ahead of the project in sixth. Obviously, with four days left of voting this race is far from finished.
