Over the past six years, students have packaged, boxed and shipped soup packets to those in need

Lynnwood, Wash. (March 16, 2015) – On March 9, Brighton School hosted its sixth annual food package event during which students combined soup ingredients to make more than 15,000 meal packets for families in Sierra Leone. With this year’s efforts, students have packaged more than 100,000 meals over the last six years. The fundraiser is done in partnership with Children of the Nations, a charity in Silverdale that provides food packaging equipment. Students held a coin drive to help raise money to purchase soup ingredients this year. Though this experience, students learned the importance of helping others.
