Campaigns Kicking Into High Gear

What races are you most concerned about in the November elections?

Expect the campaigning to ramp up for November elections now.

Final results from were posted and certified Tuesday in Snohomish, King and Pierce counties. The Secretary of State has until Friday to certify results statewide.

In the 21st Legislative District, both incumbents, Mary Helen Roberts (position 1) and Marko Liias (position 2) ran unopposed. In the 32nd District, Cindy Ryu (postion 1) and Ruth Kagi (position 2) have commanding leads over Randy Hayden and Robert Reedy, respectively.

In a U.S. Senate rate, Edmonds resident and Democrat Maria Cantwell holds her commanding lead over Republican Michael Baumgartner.

In the Congressional 7th District race, incumbent Democrat Jim McDermott also has an overwhelming lead over Republican Ron Bemis.
