Car Hits Pedestrian Crossing 76th Avenue West in Edmonds
55-year-old man, who is in the hospital, was not in a marked crosswalk.

An Edmonds man is in the hospital after being hit by a car while he was crossing the street.
On Tuesday at 4:46 p.m., Edmonds Police responded to an accident on 76th Avenue West just east of SR 99. According to Edmonds Police Sgt. Mike Blackburn, a 55-year-old Edmonds man crossed 76th Ave. W. in a westerly direction, not in a marked crosswalk, into the path of a southbound vehicle.
The motor vehicle was driven by a 20-year-old Edmonds man. The vehicle and pedestrian collided in the southbound lane of 76th Ave. W. Paramedics from Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to a Seattle hospital for treatment of a right leg injury.

The driver of the motor vehicle was not injured.
This collision remain under investigation.
