After Double Stabbing In Edmonds, Suspect Escapes On Foot

The suspect behind a double-stabbing in Edmonds Sunday escaped the scene, and police are still looking for him.

EDMONDS, WA - Two men were stabbed Sunday morning at an apartment complex along 208th Street Southwest, according to police. A third man is believed to have carried out the stabbing, but he fled the scene of the crime and was unaccounted for on Sunday afternoon. Police believe he is armed, but said he is likely not a threat to the larger community.

The incident happened around 10:40 a.m. Sunday at the Horizon Park Apartments near the intersection of 208th Street Southwest and 74th Avenue West. At the scene, police found one victim in the parking lot, and another inside an apartment. Both men were taken to Harborview for treatment; one underwent surgery and was in stable condition, the other was in critical condition.

Police believe a third man who knew both victims carried out the stabbing. He ran from the scene and was chased for a short distance by a witness. A K9 unit from Lynnwood attempted to track the suspect, but came up empty. Police say the suspect is a Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s and was wearing dark clothing at the time of the stabbing.
