E-W Wins Fifth Straight; Lake Stevens Next in Wesco Championship
Warriors overwhelm Redmond, 34-7, to finish on a roll.

After fumbling on its first two offensive possessions, Edmonds-Woodway got down to business against Redmond, winning 34-7.
The win, the Warriors' fifth straight after three losses to open the season, gives the team a 5-3 record. The Wesco South 4A champs will take on Wesco North champion Lake Stevens (8-) next Friday at 7 p.m. to determine the oversall Wesco champ. The game will be played in Edmonds.
Friday's homecoming game was one the Warriors were expected to win against winless Redmonds (0-8). (It was quite a turnaround from last year, when Redmond meat E-W 34-28 in Redmond.) But E-W did not score until Desmond Young rumbled into the end zone with eight seconds left in the first quarter.
