EDMONDS, WA - A 52-year-old city resident was cited for failure to yield in crosswalk after a Friday vehicle-pedestrian collision that sent a 69-year-old Edmonds resident to the hospital.

The accident happened near the intersection of 100th Avenue and 220th Street.

"The pedestrian was lawfully crossing 220th from north to south in the crosswalk at the time of the incident. A combination of factors likely led to this incident to include the dark and rainy conditions, combined with the pedestrian wearing dark clothing," Edmonds Police said in a statement.
