Edmonds Man Dies Weeks After I-405 Crash
The 67-year-old man was hit while standing outside of his car along I-405 in Tukwila.
TUKWILA, WA - A 67-year-old Edmonds man who was injured in an I-405 collision died about six weeks after the accident on Saturday morning, according to Washington State Patrol.
Thomas J. Smith was involved in an accident with another driver on March 28 along the on-ramp from I-5 to northbound I-405. Smith was hit by a third vehicle when he tried to cross the on-ramp, according to state patrol.
The 20-year-old Renton man who hit Smith was not arrested at the time. However, state patrol said Saturday that the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
