Edmonds Man Found Guilty In Beating Death Of Woman

EDMONDS, WA - A 64-year-old man accused of beating his roommate to death in 2016 was found guilty of second-degree murder on Monday, according to reports. David Hoar told police that his roommate fell, but an autopsy found that the woman was beaten.
Samantha Ellis, 45, died after being hit in the head at least five times, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner found. She died several days after she was injured, the medical examiner found.
Hoar, who has previously been convicted of domestic abuse, was found guilty by a jury, according to MyEdmondsNews. He will be sentenced June 1.

The murder happened inside an apartment along the 8100 block of 236th Street, which is near the intersection of Pacific Highway.
