Edmonds Man ID'd As Victim In Police Shooting

The 24-year-old was shot and killed last week after a chase that ended in Bothell.

EDMONDS, WA - A 24-year-old Edmonds man has been identified as the victim in an Oct. 23 police-involved shooting. Nickolas M. Peters died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.

According to police, Peters was involved in a disturbance at a home near the intersection of 196th Place Southwest and 6th Drive Southeast. When deputies arrived, Peters was reportedly fleeing the scene in a pickup truck.

Deputies tried to stop his vehicle, but were unsuccessful. A high speed chase ensued, but Peters reportedly stopped near Thrasher's Corner in Bothell. It's unclear how the shooting broke out, but police said "shots were fired and the male driver was struck" when he was stopped near North Damson Road and Filbert Road.

The Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team, a team of detectives from across the county, are investigating the shooting.
