Edmonds Park Gets New Trail Thanks to an Eagle Project
Fifteen-year-old Micah Lund pays tribute to early settlers and loggers.

Thanks to a 15-year-old Edmonds resident, the Olympic View Trails in north Edmonds near Perrinville has a new addition to it.
A two-tenths of a mile trail in Southwest County Olympic View Park, the Historical Loop Trail, was created as a Eagle Project by Micah Lund and his fellow scouts from Troop 312 of Edmonds.
Lund, who will be a sophomore at Meadowdale High School this fall, says he wanted his project to highlight some of the remaining physical evidence left by the earliest settlers and loggers the area.

Around some old-growth stumps on the new trail are plaques with photos and information about how logging was done in Edmonds more than 100 years ago.
The Edmonds Library, Home Depot and friends and neighbors all contributed to Lund's project.
