Edmonds Police Make Arrest In Sunday Domestic Stabbing

Police say an altercation between two cousins sent one man to the hospital, the other to jail on suspicion of first-degree assault.

EDMONDS, WA - An altercation between two cousins sent a man to the hospital with severe stab wounds, and the suspect was sent to Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of first-degree assault, police say.

Edmonds Police responded to Swedish Hospital near 5 a.m. Sunday on a report of a man with stab wounds. The 44-year-old was severely injured, and is now in intensive care at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Police arrested the victim's 37-year-old cousin later in the day Sunday at a home along the 21900 block of 86th Place West. The two men live together in the home, police said, and the stabbing took place there.

Police booked the suspect into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of first-degree felony assault with domestic violence conditions.
