Extra Police At Edmonds-Woodway Today After Threat Scare
Edmonds police were alerted to the potential threat on Wednesday.
EDMONDS, WA - Extra Edmonds police officers will patrol Edmonds-Woodway High School Thursday after police identified a potential threat made on Wednesday.
According to police, someone circulated a photo of a young person with a gun. The image was labeled "Edmonds-Woodway High School," but police determined that the person was someone from out of state.
The extra patrols Thursday are so students, staff, and parents "feel safe."

The image was circulated in a group chat between students. Police may forward charges if warranted.
We have made contact with the source of today’s photo and the school district is aware. We take these matters seriously and will determine if charges will be filed. You can still expect extra police presence on campus tomorrow.
