This Workshop is presented every Saturday through the 6th of September - It is designed for individuals who wish to learn more about the signals that dogs use to communicate. The Fair Play Workshop is perfect for first time dog park users and helpful to regular dog park users alike! And the workshop is FREE!
Many people accept the "bullying" that goes on in most dog parks as acceptable but the reality is that many dogs stop enjoying dog park experiences where this type of behavior is prevalent.
We work through techniques to support safe play and how to assist your dog in using his own language to communicate with you, his play-partner, as well communicate with the other dogs. When your dog requests time and space from another dog, the other dog's owner is also learning how to teach her dog to honor such requests! What a supportive way to shape your dog's play experiences with people who are committed to civil, polite and Fair Play habits!
The workshop volunteers and play monitors are friendly, well informed and committed to education.
You do not have to attend every week - come as many times as you want! But the Workshop fills up quickly and there are only limited opportunities each week!
Sorry, Workshops will be cancelled on rain days. Contact bowwowopals@gmail to add your email to the Saturday morning cancellation notification.
