Gary Haakenson is sharing his love of photography with the public while at the same time hoping to make a few bucks.
The former mayor of Edmonds, who is now deputy county executive for Snohomish County, has created a website he calls Images From Gary. "My photographic journey really had its roots on Facebook," Haakenson writes on the site. "I bought a new camera and started taking pics of the gorgeous sunsets here in Edmonds, framed by the Olympic Mountain Range and Puget Sound...I would post them on Facebook and my friends would comment, most times favorably."
If you like what you see and want to purchase a photo, the ex-mayor will even frame it for you.
