Girl, 16, Hit Multiple Times Crossing Street In Mill Creek

Local firefighters responded after the girl was hit Friday night crossing 132nd Street Southeast.

MILL CREEK, WA - Local firefighters responded Friday night to a crash where a 16-year-old girl was hit multiple times crossing a busy street. The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. along 132nd Street near the Thomas Lake Shopping Center at 35th Avenue Southeast.

At the scene, Snohomish Fire District 1 firefighters and Mill Creek police found that the teen had been hit twice and sustained traumatic injuries. According to police, the teen was knocked over by a truck while she was standing in the median. When she fell into the street, she was hit by a car.

The teen was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle by ambulance for treatment.

Officials said the teen was crossing in the middle of the block, not in a marked crosswalk.
