Girl Missing For 3 Years Found In Lynnwood

U.S. Marshals and the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office found the girl based on an anonymous tip.

LYNNWOOD, WA - Law enforcement officials found a five-year-old girl who had been missing for three years Thursday night in Lynnwood, according to a KIRO 7 report. U.S. Marshals arrested the girl's father, Michael Stevens, 48, who allegedly abducted the girl. The girl may have been living with her father, who was using an alias, the entire time.

A California court ordered a warrant for Stevens's arrest in 2014 after he failed to return the child to her foster family. An anonymous tip led to U.S. Marshals and the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office locating Stevens.

Stevens was booked into Snohomish County Jail and will soon be extradited to California, KOMO News reported.
