History Buffs Can Apply to Edmonds' Historic Preservation Committee
The commission identifies sites for preservation.

The City of Edmonds is seeking two volunteers for its Historic Preservation Commission. Applicants must live within the city of Edmonds and have a demonstrated interest or competence in historic preservation as well as qualities of impartiality and broad judgment.
The commission identifies and actively encourages conservation of the city’s historic resources by maintaining a register of historic places, reviewing proposed changes to register properties and raising community awareness and appreciation of the city’s history and historic resources.
It serves as the city’s primary resource in matters of history, historic planning and preservation. the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.

You can pick up an application at the reception desk in the lobby of City Hall, 121 Fifth Ave. N., or call 425-771-0247 to receive an application by mail or e-mail.
Applications will be reviewed by current commission members prior to recommendation to the mayor.
