Snohomish Co. Homicide Of Woman Under Investigation

EVERETT, WA – A Snohomish County woman was shot dead this morning in an Everett residence where another adult female and three children also were at home, but found unharmed, according to officials.

The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office was called at about 2 a.m. to the 3100 block of York Road after several reports of gunshots heard in the area.

Arriving deputies found inside the home the deceased female with "obvious gunshot wounds," the department said.

No other injuries or deaths were reported, and no suspect is yet identified, detectives said, adding that they are processing evidence and following up on leads.

York Road between Beverly Park and Alexander roads was to be closed for several hours, including during the morning commute, for the investigation.
