Yakima Murder Suspect Arrested In Edmonds After Chase
Everett police spotted the 24-year-old's vehicle on Tuesday afternoon. That led to a chase that ended in Edmonds.

EDMONDS, WA — A 24-year-old man wanted for murder in Yakima was arrested Tuesday in Edmonds. The arrest came after the suspect and another man fled Everett police.
The incident began around 4:20 p.m. when Everett police spotted the vehicle near 7th Avenue Southeast and Southeast Everett Mall Way. The car took off, and Everett police pursued believing that the suspect was armed and possibly dangerous.
As the vehicle fled police, the driver hit several parked cars, and then got on I-5. The pursuit ended at Highway 99 and 220th Street Southwest when the suspect stopped in a parking lot. There was a brief foot chase before police took the murder suspect into custody.

The driver of the car, a 39-year-old man, was taken to the Snohomish County Jail. One police officer was taken to the hospital as a precaution after he was involved in a car crash.
