Construction of KeyBank at Westgate in Edmonds Beginning Soon

Construction of the state-of-the-art KeyBank building is projected to begin in May, says the company.
The bank, , is being built in Westgate at the corner of Edmonds Way and 100th Avenue West, the site of a former Shell gas station. .
“The new branch will enable Key to serve the increasing numbers of residents and business owners in the popular and growing community of Edmonds,” said Rick Wirthlin, president of KeyBank’s Seattle-Cascades District. “We think our clients and the community will appreciate the increased convenience that this branch represents.”

According to Wirthin, the 2,740-square-foot Edmonds branch is part of an extensive effort by Key to expand and enhance its presence in the state, which now comprises a network of branches stretching from Longview, west to Port Angeles, north to Canada and east to Spokane.
In Edmonds, a video wall will employ eight flat-screen televisions to display information to customers. Customer services include safe deposit boxes, four teller stations, four offices and a conference room for use in meetings requiring customer privacy.

Outside, the branch will have a drive-up teller lane, a 24-hour drive-up ATM and a night drop for merchants.
In addition, Teller 21 systems speed the processing of client paperwork and updated technology ensures energy-efficient lighting and temperature controls. The branch will also incorporate digital merchandising, reducing the need for paper posters and handout materials.
Grand opening festivities will take place at the branch on a Saturday this fall, with details to be announced later.
Nearby KeyBank locations include those in Lynnwood, Mukilteo, Mill Creek, Bothell and Shoreline.
Meanwhile, KeyBank announced today that it has promoted Aspasia Sotiriou to Area Retail Leader. In her new role, she will manage operations at 11 branches in the Snohomish County area of its Seattle-Cascades district, including Edmonds. She is based in Everett.
