Man Who Dumped Autistic Boy In Lynnwood Dumpster Sentenced
Dayvid Pakko, 6, was drowned in a bathtub by his uncle, who was visiting Washington from Texas.

EVERETT, WA - The man who drowned his 6-year-old autistic nephew in 2017 and then dumped the child's body in a Dumpster was sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison on Wednesday.
Andrew Henckel was charged with second-degree murder for killing his nephew, Dayvid Pakko, in 2017. Henckel was sentenced to 18 years in state prison for the crime.
On Oct. 16, 2017, Snohomish County deputies began searching for the boy after he was reported missing. He lived in an apartment complex west of SR 99 in unincorporated Snohomish County along 44th Avenue West. Police found the boy the next day in a Dumpster in the complex where he lived.

"[Henckel] admitted ... to filling a bathtub with water with the intention of drowning and killing Dayvid Pakko, admitted to calling Pakko to the bathroom, picking him up and placing him face down in the water, and holding Pakko's head underneath the water while Pakko struggled for approximately 30 seconds before becoming still," the initial charging documents read.
Henckel, who is from Kerrville, Texas, was in Snohomish County visiting family.
