Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood is closed today.
According to principal Dale Cote, the school on Thursday night received information from the Lynnwood Police Department about a possible online threat to student safety at Meadowdale High School.
The decision was made to cancel school today after conferring with officials at the Edmonds School District.

"We take this information seriously, and will provide additional information as it is available," said spokeswoman DJ Jakala.
"This does not impact any other schools in our district," said Cote in a message to parents. "This is to allow law enforcement time today to more fully investigate. As soon as we have additional information, we will provide you with an update. Please do not have your students attend Meadowdale High School today."
