“We’re passionate about members’ fitness results and we work with you to achieve your goals.” says Rick Clark, Vision Quest Sport and Fitness marketing manager. “The average person will only drive eight and a half miles to go to a gym. This expansion allows Vision Quest to bring more people its facilities, programs and top-notch personal trainers.”
By acquiring popular Mieko’s Fitness, Clark says the company’s expansion into Snohomish County and north King County allows the gym to broaden its reach and cater to more locals with personal trainers, activities and good-natured motivation, like its weight loss competition, the Biggest Loser.

Similar to the NBC show, the Biggest Loser challenge aims for contestants to transform their bodies and health through a combination of working with a personal trainer and receiving nutritional counseling. The competition lasts three months and takes place three times a year with winners receiving prizes. For example, the prize in this year’s challenge is $5,000.
Matt Hoover, season two winner of NBC’s The Biggest Loser, works out at Vision Quest’s Auburn location. He’s spoken to many of the gym’s Biggest Loser contestants about his own personal weight loss challenges. For many participants, the challenge changes their bodies and minds.
Clark says Vision Quest plans to continue its model of offering affordable family-friendly fitness services. Mieko Fitness members can now go to all Vision Quest gyms and participate in all competitions and programs.
Merging the two gyms will take between one and three months, Clark says.
