Texas Man Drowned Autistic Lynnwood Boy: Police
Investigators found the 6-year-old early Tuesday morning in a Dumpster near the apartment complex where he lived.
LYNNWOOD, WA - Police located the body of a missing six-year-old Lynnwood boy early Tuesday morning. The boy's body was found in a Dumpster at the apartment complex where he lives. Police have taken a 19-year-old man into custody as a suspect, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said.
The 19-year-old, who is from Kerrville, Texas, was taken to the Snohomish County Jail on a first-degree murder charge, according to the sheriff's office. The man was caring for Dayvid Pakko at the Bristol Square Apartments in unincorporated Snohomish County.
According to charging documents, the 19-year-old drowned Pakko is a bathtub. Pakko was found in a Dumpster at around 2 a.m. wrapped in a blanket and inside a cardboard box. Here's more from the department's charging documents:

On 10/16/17, between the approximate hours of 1400 and 1500 hours, a six year old male, D.P. was left in the care of 19 year old [name redacted] at Bristol Square Apartments, 15700 44 Ave W #C103, Lynnwood, Unincorporated Snohomish County, WA. [name redacted] admitted, during that time, to filling a bathtub with water with the intention of drowning and killing D.P. [name redacted] admitted to calling D.P. to the bathroom, picking him up and placing him face down in the water, and holding D.P.’s head underneath the water while D.P. struggled for approximately 30 seconds before becoming still. [name redacted] said he left D.P. face down in the water for approximately six minutes. He did not provide life saving measures on D.P. [name redacted] changed his clothing, wrapped D.P.’s body in a blanket and placed him in a cardboard box, which he used to dispose D.P.’s body in the nearest garbage dumpster. D.P. was determined to be deceased by paramedics on scene approximately 12 hours after his initial disappearance."
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner has not officially confirmed the identity of the body found Thursday morning as Pakko. The boy was last seen Monday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. along the 15700 block of 44th Avenue West.
According to social media profiles, the suspect is a 2016 graduate of Tivy High School in Kerrville. The suspect made the honor roll in high school, according to the Hill Country Community Journal newspaper.

Kerrville is located in central Texas, about 65 miles northwest of San Antonio. According to a 2010 obituary for the suspect's grandfather, the suspect's relatives once lived in Edmonds.
A memorial fund for Pakko set up on GoFundMe Tuesday had already broken its goal as of 4:30 p.m.
