Motorcyclist In Funeral Procession Dead After Brakes Mishap
The accident happened Saturday morning along US 2 near Everett.

EVERETT, WA - A 69-year-old motorcyclist who was riding in a funeral procession Saturday died after his bike malfunctioned, according to reports. The accident happened in the eastbound lanes of US 2 near Bickford Avenue just before 11 a.m. Saturday, Washington State Patrol spokeswoman Heather Axtman said.
The motorcyclist was part of a funeral procession, according to KOMO News, and the brakes on his bike malfunctioned, causing him to crash.
US 2 was closed until about 1 p.m. Saturday due to cleanup and the investigation.
