Edmonds Police Confront Nude Man Destroying Hotel Room
The ordeal began early Tuesday morning when a guest at a local motel started destroying things.

EDMONDS, WA - Edmonds police engaged in a long standoff with a nude man Tuesday morning at a local motel. The standoff ended when police shot the man with rubber bullets.
Police responded to the motel around 6:30 a.m. after reports that a guest was threatening people with a crowbar. When police arrived, the man had retreated back into his motel room.
The man then started destroying the motel, throwing a toilet, hot water heater, and other objects at the police gathered in the parking lot. He also allegedly threatened police with axes and a knife.

Police said he took off his clothes in the midst of the rampage.
After about two hours, police shot the man with two "heavy duty rubber projectiles." He was taken to a hospital after being shot. Edmonds police said he'll go to jail on charges of felony harassment, assaulting police, and felony malicious mischief once he's released from the hospital.
