Officer Hurt In Edmonds I-5 DUI Crash

EDMONDS, WA — A Mountlake Terrace police officer was hit and injured by a suspected drunk driver early Thursday morning along I-5 in Edmonds, according to reports.

The officer was taking the 220th Street Southwest exit just before 4 a.m. when a woman drove into the back of his patrol car. The officer reportedly suffered back pain, but was not otherwise seriously injured.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
