Panera Bread Launches Delivery In Edmonds

EDMONDS, WA - The Edmonds Panera Bread is kicking off its new delivery service Thursday. The restaurant will deliver within an "8-minute radius" of its restaurant, which is located near the intersection of Highway 99 and SR 104.

The Edmonds store is located just across the street from the border of Shoreline, so it's conceivable (without traffic) the 8-minute radius could include surrounding cities like Lake Forest Park, Mountlake Terrace, and Lynnwood.

You can have Panera delivered between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday with a minimum order of $5. Deliveries can be scheduled up to two weeks in advance using the restaurant's smartphone app or online.

Panera Bread is trying to build a nationwide delivery program. The company is aiming to hire 3,500 employees for delivery and wants to have delivery available from every location by 2018.

In early August, local Panera Bread restaurants in Olympia, Bellevue, and Renton held events to hire 100 people for the Puget Sound delivery service.
